Morbidity

Morbidity rate is the proportion or frequency of the occurrence of an illness or condition in a certain group of people. It may also refer to the percentage of people who experience medical complications after a treatment. This figure is determined by diving the incidence with the population and multiplying the quotient with 100. For instance, 5 out of 35 students have flu this month; hence the morbidity rate is 14. 29%. Morbidity rates are utilized in assessing a population’s health, the extent of health provisions, and patterns of diseases.
