MILLER-MOWRER SHUTTLEBOX

is a piece of apparatus which is used to examine escape and avoidance learning consisting of a straight alley with a guillotine door at the midpoint and a grid floor which can be electrified. The experimental animal must navigate to the ‘safe’ part of the box.
