MAST is an acronym for Michigan Alcohol Screening Test. It is currently one of the most widely used screening devices for assessing alcohol abuse. The MAST is a questionnaire that was designed to provide a fast, easy, and effective screening for lifetime alcohol-related problems and alcoholism. One of the attractive reasons for using MAST is that it has been effectively used across a variety of settings with varied populations.
