MATCHED-GROUP DESIGN

is an experimental design for research studies which requires both the experimental and control groups are similar or matched on background characteristics (such as – marital status) before being exposed to the variables the study is looking at whether they have an overall effect.

MATCHED-GROUP DESIGN: “Matched-group design is used in some psychological experiments where two separate groups are identified using factors of the individual units before then applying the experiment.”
