Masturbation is the stimulation of one’s own genitalia for sexual pleasure. This came from the Latin words “manus” which means “hand” and “turbo” which translates to “throw into confusion”. This often involves pressing, massaging, and or rubbing the genitalia with hands or sex toys. According to research, some of the benefits include releasing sexual tension, reducing stress, and helping in treating sexual problems. Unfortunately, many Christian denominations denounce masturbation as “solitary sin” and consider it a social evil.
