MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)

MADD is an acronym for the non-profit organization Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

This was founded in 1980 as a means of curtailing drunk driving through alcohol education, supporting victims of drunk drivers, and lobbying for stronger enforcement of laws regarding intoxication. The organization has chapters in all 50 of the United States and in all of the Canadian provinces and claims a major impact on alcohol-related accidents and deaths. A related organization is SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving).
