The theory of localization refers to the idea that different parts of the brain are responsible for specific behaviors, or that certain functions are localized to certain areas in the brain. For example, damage to the Broca’s area, or that part of the brain that is involved in language expression, will render a person unable to communicate even when he is perfectly capable of understanding language.
