LEFT-HEMISPHERE CONSCIOUSNESS

A theory first proposed by Michael Gazzaniga, a cognitive neuropsychologist which implies the left hemisphere in the brain not only controls speech (in general) but also a person’s consciousness.

LEFT-HEMISPHERE CONSCIOUSNESS: “Consciousness and speech is controlled by a variety of brain structures (left-hemisphere consciousness), Michael Gazzaniga suggested they were all situated in the left-hemisphere.”
