Kaufmann Assessment Battery for Children (KABC) is a cognitive development diagnostic test. The skills that it measures include visual processing, short term memory, fluid reasoning, crystalized ability, and long term memory. This assessment is individually administered to children aged 3 to 18 years old. KABC has been tested to have good reliability in identifying cognitive strengths and weaknesses. The test results are used in facilitating educational and clinical planning. This tool was developed by American psychology professors, Alan S. Kaufman and Nadine L. Kaufman. It was first published in 1983 and revised in 2004 (KABC II).
