A Halfway House is a group living situation where individuals who are in the process of returning to normal society from a more restricted environment; i.e prison or rehab, where the individual receives support and guidance while making that transition.
This support can take the form of assistance in finding work, emotional support. mental health counseling, physical support (room and board). and practical assistance (life skills help), and many other areas of need.
