Family Counseling

Family counseling or family therapy seeks to improve the communication and conflict management among family members. This is often recommended to improve marital and parental relationships and to deal with issues such as financial problems, impact of addiction, and coping with a family member who has health concerns. The session which is facilitated by a licensed therapist is often short term. However, it does not mean that participating in family counseling will immediately solve problems. Specifically, this process may help in learning more effective communication styles and clarifying family goals.
