Episodic Amnesia

Episodic amnesia is the inability to remember particular significant life events or episodic memories. For instance, a person with episodic amnesia cannot remember details regarding his family, birthdays, childhood experiences, career, and the like. This may also include a brief moment of an ability to recollect certain episodic information which is followed by frustrating periods of the amnesia. This condition is often caused by head injury or a psychologically traumatic experience.
