DANDY-WALKER SYNDROME

a hereditary anomaly consisting of a big cyst developing in the posterior area of the fetal brain- marked by (i) blocking of the 4th ventricle, causing escalated volume in the brain, and (ii) total or partial failure of the middle part of the cerebellum to grow due to its displacement by the cyst.
