CROSS-CLASSIFICATION

noun. Categorization of objects dependent upon at least two traits. Particularly, it is a two-way strategy employed in trial and error efforts wherein each individual or other test sample is given to the junction of a row and column class.

CROSS-CLASSIFICATION: “Cross-classification is common among food items, for example, an apple is a fruit, a snack, red, but also green, can be a dessert, can be sauced, and so on.”
