Cohabitation

Cohabitation, in typical everyday parlance, refers to two individuals in a relationship living together without being married to one another. Technically, however, it can mean two people sharing the same living space in spite of whatever relationship they might have (such as roommates or family). Cohabitation is becoming more common as many couples use it as an alternative to traditional marriage, as a “trial run” before marriage, or as a means to save money.
