Claustrophobia

Claustrophobia is an anxiety disorder that manifests as a fear of enclosed spaces and being unable to escape. It causes a person to react in a fearful and physically negative manner when confronted with a situation with a small space, such as a very crowded event or an airplane. It can cause panic attacks and other anxiety related symptoms. If diagnosed claustrophobia can be treated with therapy (such as exposure therapy and/or medication when a situation is known beforehand to be occurring (such as anti-anxiety medication before a plane trip).
