The cerebrum is the largest and most highly developed area of the brain. It’s actually about 2/3rds of your brain and is broken into two areas, called hemispheres.
These hemispheres are connected to each other through a band of nervous tissue referred to called the corpus callosum. Each hemisphere is broken down further into four lobes.
All of the parts work together and share responsibility for the regulation of the higher cognitive and emotional functions of the brain such as perception, motor functions, and even determining intelligence.
