Cerebral Dominance

Cerebral dominance describes how typically one hemisphere of the brain has more control over particular functions than the other hemisphere.

For example, individuals who are right handed have a dominant left hemisphere for language. Remember, the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body. So if you are right handed then your left hemisphere will be dominant over the right hemisphere. This has absolutely nothing to do with the myth of individuals being a ‘right brain’ or a ‘left brain’ person. Cerebral dominance is a biological description of the brain.
