CENTER OF GRAVITY

n. the theoretical central axis of the body which serves as a main point of balance. It is the location at which the mass of a body (or object) would be evenly-distributed. Relative to the position of the body, it also shifts with every movement and with the type of posture (i.e. lying down vs. standing up).

CENTER OF GRAVITY: “Theoretically, a person’s center of gravity is where body weight would be concentrated and where physical mass would be evenly-distributed.”
