Celiac Disease

Celiac disease, also known as celiac sprue or gluten-sensitive enteropathy, is characterized by small intestine damage due to eating gluten. This genetic condition is an immune response to the protein which is found in wheat, rye, and barley. The symptoms include diarrhea, weight loss, anemia, bloating, irritability, mood swings, and fatigue. The cure is having a gluten-free diet.
