CASEWORK

n. the sum of all the supervisory tasks performed by a social worker – in this case, a caseworker. The job is to oversee that counseling is being done, therapy sessions are being attended, and services are being delivered. It is also to monitor families and children as to housing, health, education, and support. Also called social casework.
