CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME (CTS)

n. an inflammatory disorder of the wrist wherein there is pain and swelling in the tissues surrounding the median nerve. Specifically, the ligament on the roof of the tunnel may thicken and broaden, or the tendon and its lining may become inflamed.The condition is caused by physical injury to the area or by activities that result in repetitive stress. See repetitive strain injury.

CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME (CTS): “Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a neuropathy which may be observed in work-related repetitive motions such as typing or hammering.”
