BUREAUCRATIC LEADER

n. a type of leader whose roles and responsibilities are largely determined by position and authority. Because there is a routinary and prescribed procedure to adhere to, it leaves little to no room for allowances. One that is disciplined and rigid, this leadership style especially applies to hierarchial organizations such as the government and the military.

BUREAUCRATIC LEADER: “Because a bureaucratic leader is one who is trained to recognize authority and abide by the rules, he or she may often opt to go by-the-book. “
