BUFOTENIN

n. a naturally-occurring, yet mildly-hallucinogenic substance identified as a tryptamine. It is isolated from the skin of toads (Genus Bufo). The chemical composition is similar to that of psilocin, and it is apparently detected in the urine of schizophrenic patients. See hallucinogen.
