BRAIN TUMOR

n. any unusual brain tissue growth suspected to be abnormal. It may be benign or malignant. In the process of growing and spreading, it increases the intracranial pressure that compresses healthy tissue. It also impedes impulses and restricts the flow of blood. The usual symptoms include visual and hearing disurbance, change in mental status, body weakness, and loss of coordination.

BRAIN TUMOR: “As a benign or malignant growth, a brain tumor needs to be distinguished from brain lesions which show as lighter or darkened spots on brain tissue.”
