BLUSHING

n. an involuntary physiological response which involves a natural reddening of the face. Often a result of feeling self-conscious, it is sometimes linked with positive feelings of pleasure and excitement or with negative feelings of embarrassment and shame.

BLUSHING: “Because a blushing person looks flushed, he or she is often teased about getting all red in the face.”
