BLAKE-MOUTON MANAGERIAL GRID

n. a model of management and leadership style which assesses a leader on two dimensions, that is, a concern for production and a concern for people. On a 1- to 9-point scale, there are 81 probabilities in all, but there five most-talked-about styles. A 9,9 leadership style would be the most ideal. Developed by U.S. psychologists Robert Blake and Jane Mouton in 1964.

BLAKE-MOUTON MANAGERIAL GRID: “According to the Blake-Mouton Managerial Grid, everyone should aspire to be a 9,9 Leader – meaning high on people and high on production.”
