BELLADONNA POISONING

n. toxic reaction triggered by the ingestion of the deadly nightshade plant (Atropa belladonna), specifically its berries. The poison can be traced to their atropine content which initially affects the parasympathetic nervous system resulting in paralysis, unresponsiveness, disorientation, and vivid hallucinations.
