BELIEF

n. in psychology, refers to the psychological basis of an attitude associated with a characteristic or attributed to an object. (e.g. This equipment is reliable). In general, it is also an acceptance of the truth or reality of something or someone as valid. (e.g. This person is trustworthy.) See religious faith.

BELIEF: “When people hold a premise to be true, they place their trust and confidence in this as a belief.”
