BEING LOVE (B-LOVE)

n. in humanistic psychology, a new kind of love which is made possible when cognition is fully enhanced. Ascribed to self-actualizers, there is mutuality in this love which shows more genuine concern for the other and less of selfishness, dependence, and jealousy. First descibed by American psychologist Abraham Maslow (1908-1970). Compare deficiency love.

BEING LOVE (B-LOVE): “In human existence, it is possible to be more aware of the self and the other and, thus, to experience Being Love (B-Love).”
