Behavior sampling is one method of documenting behavior in a study. This type of study is accomplished by choosing what behavior to observe and setting a schedule for examining the behavior. For instance, a researcher may choose to observe a classroom for 15 minutes each day to observe student interactions. By scheduling to observe the same class, with the same teacher and the same subject matter for the same time of day and for the same amount of time, the researcher can take a reliable measure of the observed topic.
