BASIC PHYSIOLOGICAL NEED

n. the most fundamental of needs, this is the lowest level in Maslow’s hierachy of needs. Motivated by a basic need, humans urgently seek food, water, and air, as well as sleep and survival needs in order to sustain life. See primary need- also viscerogenic need.

BASIC PHYSIOLOGICAL NEED: “All summed up together, hunger, thirst, sex, and self-preservation constitute a basic physiological need.”
