BALTIMORE LONGITUDINAL STUDY OF AGING (BLSA)

refers to the intramural scientific study of aging conducted by the National Institute on Aging. It is estimated that over 1,200 individuals are tested at regular intervals through their life spans. The study, which has been ongoing since 1958, examines changes due to age and changes due to disease within individuals and within groups.
