ANXIETY SCALE

any of a plethora of tests designed to measure manifest, subjective anxiety – as opposed to assessing hidden or unconscious anxiety. An example is the Beck’s Anxiety Inventory, which is a quick self-report measure. These scales usually take the form of self-report tests but may be based on clinician ratings or actual performance on specialized tests.

ANXIETY SCALE: “A person was asked to complete a self-report anxiety scale measure in order to assess how much anxiety he or she was feeling.”
