ANTIBODY

n. a modified protein molecule created naturally by lymphocytes, that interacts with and disarms antigens. The antigen-antibody connection is specific, meaning that all antibodies will not interact with all antigens. Following previously exposure to a specific antigen, the antibodies are mass produced.
