Affective Rigidity (Emotional Rigidity)

Affective or emotional rigidity is the inability or marked difficulty in empathizing with another person’s feelings as well as the failure to be emotionally influenced by differing situations. This condition is often observed among people with obsessive-compulsive Disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, or narcissistic personality disorder.
