The Conflict in Adolescent Dating Relationships Inventory (CADRI)

The Conflict in Adolescent Dating Relationships Inventory (CADRI) is a selfreport measure designed to assess the frequency of conflict behaviors in adolescent dating relationships. The CADRI consists of 24 items that measure various types of conflict behaviors such as verbal aggression, physical aggression, and controlling behaviors. Each item is rated on a 5point Likerttype scale ranging from 1 (never) to 5 (very often). The CADRI has been found to have good internal consistency and testretest reliability. It has also been found to be sensitive to changes in conflict behavior over time. The CADRI has been used to assess the frequency of conflict in adolescent dating relationships, as well as to identify potential risk factors for relationship violence. The CADRI can be used to inform prevention and intervention efforts aimed at reducing the prevalence of relationship violence among adolescents.
